| a nice cozy bit for maybelline! I think they make mascaras that rival only Japanese mascaras [those Japs have a TRUE understanding of beauty, let me tell you], and they're the best I've ever tried. Dior is fine and dandy and all, but I'd rather have a tube of volum' express any day of the week. their lip stuff is rockin, too. I love the colourstay lipstick stuff. everyone compliments me when I wear it in Pink [yes, that's the shade name! how lazy ], and it really does last. foundations aren't for me, though - they never match! the mineral foundation would be great if I knew which one was my shade...tan was too dark [WOW], so I had to settle for translucent! raa. what's your miffs and tiffs/great loves about maybelline? | |

| I have the Define-a-Lash Volume, I think it's ok, I really liked it for the first week or two but now I'm not that crazy about it. It clumps a little sometimes and I just don't think it makes my lashes look so great. I need to go back to Lash Stylist. | |

Yeah I'm not sure that it gives the best finish, although I've only really worn it properly once so probably need to put it on a couple more times before I really make my mind up.

| lash stylist, volum' express, and lash discovery are my favourites. my lash discovery is actually missing! I am thoroughly heart broken, and I'll be making a trip tomorrow for a new mascara [and a physician's bronzer!].
lash stylist lasted me FOREVER, and didn't come off at all. I could cry my ass off, and it would still be on. and volum' express did exactly what it said; I had tonnes of volume and I had no damned idea what to do with it all. their famed green and pink mascara is a good formula too, but I always wanted MORE out of it.

| I know I hated it - I was never able to fully cover up the primer! I may try it again one day, just to give it a shot; but I was pretty disappointed. I hated going to school with white peepers!
Great Lash has an okay waterproof formula, it went on REALLY well, but I like volume with my mascaras, and it didn't give that. its good for just slapping on in the girl's room, but thats about it!

| I love love love their Mousse foundation. It's the ONLY stuff that doesn't budge off my face (I have really oily skin). Other than that, I don't have any Maybelline cosmetics. | |

| rry? I've heard that that particular foundation isn't good for oil-ies! but hell, you've made it work; good for you! the only foundation that'll stay on me is revlon's custom creations. I'm right in love with the stuff. | |

| Dream Matte Mousse is my SAVIOR. I LOVE that stuff. My skin is a real mixture, oily in some places, but very dry in other places... but the mousse covers EVERYTHING for me. Gah, I LOVE it. | |

| my skin is the exact same. my cheeks and nose are oily, but my jawline, chin, the area around my mouth [i.e. laugh lines] and forehead are dry as day. my translucent mineral makeup by maybelline isn't bad, but I think it'll be best for summer - it makes my winter skin look super washed out. | |

| Hm. I'm looking into getting that stuff... as well as Bare Minerals. Cause my skin sucks so much.
But anyways.. the liquid mineral stuff? is that stuff god? and does it give a lot of coverage? cause in my opinion, liquid foundations never give quite enough coverage... meh. and the powder? is it really like Bare Minerals, just cheaper?

| I wouldn't recommend the liquid stuff if you have oily skin that eats through foundation easily. the powder isn't bad, though - it does give good coverage. I bought the wrong shade [it was the lightest dark shade - and it matched me MUM, she's usually the darkest shade for most foundations], but I'd buy it again if I knew what my shade was. I think it's a worthy substitute for BM, because this stuff has NO talc or all that crap [unlike the CG trublend loose mineral powder]. and honestly, at $9, what do you have to lose? edit:: here's a link to the review I did on the forum. I know now that it CAN leave a white cast if I apply too much, so I'm more careful with it. I don't really have a powder brush, which is ideal to use when applying this - otherwise, you're pretty much effed.

| True. I'm using CG Loose Mineral Powder now and I really like it, the only thing I have against it is the shimmer. Do you know if the Maybelline stuff has that same shimmer to it?
The hardest part for me is finding the perfect shade for me. Especially cause from summer to winter my skin changes a little... it's really hard to get the exact right shade. Rawr.

| no, I used the maybelline stuff and there's no shimmer. I just edited my last post and linked to a review I did so you could see. :]
as of perfect shades...that's why I use revlon's custom creations. my skintone has changed 3 times this year, and I bought 3 different foundations to match - and none of them did. revlon totally changed that. medium/deep is for when my skin is lighter [right now], and deep will be for when my skin is darker [summer]. its the best foundation I've used, and I highly recommend it, ESPECIALLY because you're paying $11 for five shades of foundation in one container. :]
also, revlon has a pretty good mineral foundation. this one I'm trying next, and I've heard a lot of good things. their shades are a lot easier to deal with, but it has the annoying container with the brush attached to the lid - a la milani and loreal.

| Ooh! Revlon Custom Creations! Is that the thing with the dial and you turn it to get your perfect shade?! Cause I'm dyyyying to know if that stuff actually works and is nice. I almost got it when I was out yesterday but resisted the urge.
And they have a mineral foundation tooo?! Eep! I've been so stuck in my little world of Matte Mousse and CG Mineral Powder for the longest time that I haven't been aware of all this stuff... I think I'll look into more Revlon stuff -- so many girls rave about it but I've never owned anything from Revlon. I'm ashamed.
When you say annoying brush attached to the lid, do you mean the things with like a big puffy thing on the top that you have to like... shake to get it to come through the brush? Cause I hate those bitches. They DO NOT WORK. Rawr.

| Mhm. I've been raving about all kinds of stuff in the PR section on CM - go to that section more! and you can read all about the hell I've gone through with foundation in my blog - link is in the sig. :] And yes, that's the one. Revlon is FAMOUS for how great their foundations are, and this one is pretty fucking great. Its basically my skin, but better. I highly recommend it. I love their pressed powder, too. CG compact just broke in two, and I HATE lugging around broken compacts, so I may buy the revlon powder that I used to swear by today... I also had a foundation stick by them. it was my mum's, but she gave it to me, and it was perfect for me. It was the best foundation stick I'd ever used - I haven't had a stick foundation as good as that one since. I was sad to learn that by the time mum had given it to me, it had been discontinued. and when I say brush attached to the lid, I mean how a brush is SERIOUSLY stuck onto the lid. not like, a shaker brush. those things fuckin suck, but are a lot better than the cursed "mushroom lid." fav. powder: my foundation [but in medium/deep]: the mineral foundation: example of brush on lid: | |
